Cheats for Superpower Island on Poptropica
Getting Started
Here is a guide to Poptropica Super Power Island. First, go to Super Power island. When you arrive, walk a few steps to the right and walk into the Comic Shop. There you will find a nerdy looking guy on the right side of the store dressed like a nerd. Talk to him and find out if he has anything other than comic books. He will give you a book called The Superhero's Hanbook that he wrote. You keep the book in your inventory and can read it.
Leave the comic shop and head to the next store on the right, called the Masks and Capes shop. Walk to the left and find the guy with the scissors and talk to him. He hands you a Super Hero ID card which makes you a superhero and shows the number of villains that you have defeated. Over on the other side of the shop is a row of mannequins that have different costumes on them. Click on them to pick your costume. You can use different parts from all the different costumes on display.
OK, next leave the Masks and Capes shop and head to the left. Swim through the water and you will come to an island with a jail that has a green meteorite that crashed into it. Talk to the guard. Ask him about the escaped prisoners and he will give you an item called the, Super Villain Files. You can read these files to see all the bad guys that you have to apprehend. Then talk to the woman wearing the lab jacket and she will give you anti-power handcuffs, which are designed to let you apprehend super-villains. When you get those items, it's time to capture some super-villains! Walk all the way to the right until you get to a sign that says Downtown. Click the sign to move to the next room. Walk to the right and then click on the next sign and you arrive at Main Street. Speak with the police officers who are standing near the bank and they will tell you that Copy Cat, one of the escaped prisoners, is inside.
Getting Copy Cat
Enter the bank and head left, where Copy Cat is standing. She will make many copies of herself and each of the copies will run off and hide in a different spot inside the bank. She will also drop a smoke grenade on the ground and you will only have about a minute until there's too much smoke in the bank for you to breathe. The goal is to capture all the different copies of her before her smoke fills up the whole bank. All you have to do is to walk over each copy of her to make it go poof and disappear. You will need to jump up a little to capture all of the copies. Take the elevator over on the right side to go upstairs.
When you get to the last copy cat, you get her and then you see a copy of the newspaper story about her capture. You'll be sent back to the prison and you'll see her back behind bars. If you look at your Super Hero ID card in your inventory, you'll see that you have one sticker in your villains defeated section. Let's go capture some more criminals!
Getting Speeding Spike
Go back to Main Street and then go all the way to the right till you can a train sign. Click the steps to go down into the tube Station. Talk to the police officials in the train Station and they will tell you they need help catching Speeding Spike. Go in the train and then walk all the way to the right, where you will see Speeding Spike holding a bag of money. Catching him is easy. Just keep leaping over him when he makes an attempt to hit you with the bag of money. He will keep moving to the left to different train automobiles and if you can keep getting him to miss you he will get so beat out that he sits down on the floor. When he does that, walk up to him to put on the cuffs and send him back to jail.
Finding Sir Rebral
Go back all of the way to the right and this time go past the tube Station steps to get to the town Park. When you arrive, you'll see that Sir Rebral is standing on top of a broken statue. When you go near him, you find out that he's's controlling rocks that fly up from the ground and follow you till they hit you. You need to position yourself so you can jump to avoid them ( they'll still follow you ) and then get yourself on the opposite side of Sir Rebral so that the rocks hit him instead. This will make him annoyed and then parts of the ground will start popping up.
The very next step is to find the light gray rock that you can push. Move this rock on top of one of the places where the ground turns up so that the rock will fly up into the air and hit Sir Rebral. This will knock him down and stun him so you can walk up to him and capture him with the cuffs. You will return to the prison where you can see him safely in jail.
Capturing Ratman
Go back to the City Park and go inside the general public washroom. There's a hole next to one of the toilets. Head down the hole to get into the sewers. Head over to the left and you will find a brown wheel. Click it while standing on the platform beneath and the water will drain so that you move down. Once it stops, go to the right till you can some platforms. Jump up those and you'll find another wheel. Turn it to make the water rise again partway. Swim to the left till you find another wheel and the water will rise again. Go to the left one more time and you'll find a door that you can enter. Go through the door and Ratman will be within. Jump up to the top right corner of the Sewer Room while avoiding the rats, and you'll see a red wheel. Click it to turn it, and it'll spatter water over the Ratman and his flies. Ratman will be knocked out and the flies that are buzzing around him will start following you. If they touch you, you'll get stung so you would like to attempt to get to Ratman really quickly . Click him to cuff him and send him back to prison.
Capturing Crusher
Now return to the Park and then move all the way to the right side. You'll spot a sign that leads to the Junkyard. Follow that sign to go inside. When you arrive, you will see Crusher standing on top of a large junk pile. Talk to the cops there and they'll tell you they're unable to capture him. Good thing you're a Super Hero here to save the day again.
To defeat Crusher, you are going to try to sneak past him twice. Go all the way to the right and get up on top of the oil barrels then jump onto the platform where he's standing and run right past him. You'll get to a crane. Jump up the crane until you get to the taxi at the top and click on it. Next drag the magnet control lever. The crane will release a heavy refrigerator which will fall on Crusher. Unfortunately he recovers and then hurls it at you, smacking you back down. And now he is's really loony.
You have to sneak past Crusher one more time, but now he's hurling heavy oil barrels at you and they are going to knock you down if you get hit. Attempt to get back to the crane another time without getting hit by the oil barrels as you go. When you get all of the way back to the taxi of the crane, click and drag the magnet lever again to turn it back on. The magnet will pick up Crusher and then crush him flat! You can then safely go down to where he is and put the handcuffs back on him. Crusher is going back to jail!
Find Betty Jetty
Head back to the main area and walk by the phone booth The phone will ring. Answer it and you will get a new superpower. It is the ability to fly! Click on the flght icon in the lower-left corner to fly up into the air.
Go to the Downtown area and fly up to the very top of the Skyscraper and then go up. Betty Jetty is standing up on top of the antenna. Betty taunts you and then flies away. Make sure your flight power is activated and chase after her. While you are chasing her, Betty throws green energy balls at you. Each time you dodge them, you'll get a little closer to her and eventually you will be close enough to capture her. You can simply dodge the green energy balls she throws by moving off screen each time they come near you.
After you catch her, she will taunt you one more time, and then Ned Noodlehead will appear and knock her over. Next you can place the handcuffs on her and she is captured and sent back to prison.
Get Your Reward
When you speak with the warden, he will say that he gave the medallion to Ned Noodlehead for capturing Betty Jetty. You can get Ned to give it to you by first going to the hot dog vendor in City Pary. Talk to the vendor and he will give you a hot dog. Next go back to the comic book shop and speak with Ned Noodlehead. He will offer to trade you the medallion for a hot dog. Do the trade and you will complete this island. Congratulations!
